Our Christmas Season and Cyrus' Birthday

Cyrus' first ice skating experience. Future hockey player?
Well we have had a rather wet and brown winter so far. We have a lot of winter left so hopefully we'll get some snow like our friends and family in PA where we JUST moved from!! Thought we'd never have to deal with this type of winter here, all the avid snowboarders, snowmachiners (snowmobilers), skiiers, and dog sledders are very disappointed in their second bum winter in a row. Maybe the blizzard will yet come...
Waders from Nana! We'll be happy for these this summer!

Christmas day we went to a community Christmas dinner. Quite festive!
We celebrated our first Christmas away from family, actually not true, we had one in Haiti our first year of marriage. We had a fun time with our threesome, but sure remember why holidays are so much more fun with family. Next year we might be in PA for Christmas.
Opening presents!
These snowy pictures are up at Hatcher Pass, our closest good snowmachining spot.

Little one is growing! Cyrus insists it's a boy. He won't hear otherwise.

Always in for a goofy adventure. Chadd got these goggles for him to snowmachine and he's worn them to bed, to church, everywhere, so much that the elastic started to pull out his hair and thin a spot, so I secretly hid them. :)

We've had snow at times in the Valley. But mostly it's been brown. I didn't take pictures of brown winter.

Sporting his stylish Christmas gifts. A 3 yr old teenager :)

The prep for a weekend of fun!!

Dick's homestead cabin we stayed at for Cyrus' birthday weekend

How many moose can you spot?

At least we do get to see a winter wonderland at Hatcher Pass

Our Housing remodel is in a slow phase: the KITCHEN. No one likes live-in-kitchen remodels. Especially when they drag on. At this very moment Chadd and Cyrus are putting in the flooring and it looks like the rest may get done this weekend...
31 weeks!

I have a new job! I am now working at Matsu Midwifery and Family Practice, just coming off orientation next week. It is a fabulous birth center with two direct entry midwives, one certified nurse midwife (me), two family nurse practitioners, and one FNP/CNM. The to FNPs are also studying functional medicine as I am! They are a wonderful group of practitioners to work with, always learning and sharing knowledge and management. It feels like a luxury job! One of their benefits even for part-timers is a free massage once a month with their in house massage therapist!! Whoo hoo! I love it. I'll be working one day a week before the baby while I still maintain PT employment  at the adolescent boys residential treatment center. Then come back to just two days a week at Matsu Midwifery.  Praise the Lord the long search is over and it is better then I'd hoped. He's so faithful:)
